Happy Top 5 Tuesday! This doesn’t look like a tough topic for me. There are just so many wonderful books out there and so little time for reading, especially when you’re in college. I’m forever and always adding books to my TBR, mostly due to hype.
Top 5 Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Shanah of Bionic Book Worm. It’s all good vibes and good times and if you’re on the fence about joining, just try it out!
So, let’s get into it!
Color Me In by Natasha Diaz

Yes, my January book of the month has still gone unread. I’ve completed both February books, which makes this even worse. Then again, both February books were poetry so…
When I bought Color Me In, I thought I’d get to it over Spring Break but I did mention that I might not get to it until the summer. I know myself so well.
Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams

Every time I go to my local bookstore I end up having a staring contest with Queenie. I want to read it so bad but I’m also kind of scared. I haven’t really ventured away from Young Adult Fiction in so long. The only time I read something other than YA is for class.
Then again, I am 20. Not to say I’m too old for YA, that’s not happening. I just mean it’s time to broaden my horizons and if there’s anything I’ve learned from my English classes this semester, it’s that it’s okay to branch out of my comfort zone.
Genesis Begins Again by Alicia D. Williams

I’ve been saying I’d read this one for YEARS. Have I even gotten my hands on it? No. Will I read it one day? I hope so. I’ve literally heard nothing but good things about it and it sounds right up my alley.
On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

Am I a real Angie Thomas fan if I’ve only read The Hate U Give? Considering the fact that I follow her on Instagram and Twitter, I think I still count.
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

Yup, never read it. This was actually super popular when I was in middle school. I always said I’d get to it, even got it from the library once, but I never read it.
