How it all started
My first book review was back in 2015, while I was still in high school. I started to notice that there were more books with characters that looked like me, but still not enough. I wanted to bring attention to that and so, I started this blog.
My Story
Over the years, this website has gone through several layouts, themes, and name changes but one thing has always stayed the same: my mission. I want to help usher in a world where everyone can find themselves in a book. I want to help fellow educators find those books that aren’t being talked about. I want the next generations to see themselves represented.
What now?
Much of my education efforts have switched over to social media but I want this website to continue being a resource for readers and educators. I have an MA in Literature and the research skills I learned during that program have been vital in my educational practices today. My goal is to assist authors, educators, librarians, and caregivers in providing the best and most representative novels to young readers.
