Hey yβall! How have a managed to keep reading books while being a full time student? By pushing away all other responsibilities, of course!
WWW Wednesday is a meme that was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived by Sam of Taking on a World of Words. All youβve got to do is answer these three questions.
What are you currently reading?
Charming as a Verb by Ben Philippe

I’m still reading Charming as a Verb and the story is literally giving me flashbacks of when I was applying to college. Wow, that was such a stressful time. Like… extremely stressful.
So far I’m really loving Corinne’s character. She’s so quirky but not in a “not like other girls” way. She’s just weird, but funny, and really smart. I want her to be my best friend but then I remember she doesn’t actually exist so, *sigh*.
On Beauty by Zadie Smith

I started reading On Beauty for my Major World Writers course and it’s really interesting so far. Definitely a complicated read.
What did you recently finish reading?
Not So Pure and Simple by Lamar Giles

The fact that I put off reading this for so long is honestly disrespectful because I loved reading Not So Pure and Simple. The full review will be up at some point in the future. I just need to figure out how to put all my thoughts together in a comprehensible way.
Allegedly by Tiffany D. Jackson

Y’all already know I love Tiffany D. Jackson’s books but this one is extra special. Not only is it her debut (the first time the world was truly exposed to her genius) but it was also my first buddy read! I read this together with Nicole from Cosmicnreads on Instagram. She is such a sweetheart and we ended up finishing this in two days because it was one of those books where you just NEED to know what happens next.
What do you think youβll read next?
Yβall already know I canβt stick to a TBR and I’ve mentioned this book before but I’m just gonna throw it out there again. Maybe y’all can hold me accountable because I don’t even know at this point.
Who Put This Song On? by Morgan Parker

The fact that I STILL have yet to get to this one is just… This story addresses mental illness in the Black community. I literally hosted TWO events last school year centered around mental illness in the Black community. This book is basically calling out my name and I just haven’t been listening so… I need to pick it up. It’s even available as an audiobook for my library. What is taking me so long? Oh, right… school.
