*Synopsis*

Hadley Sullivan misses her flight to London by just four minutes. She doesn’t know whether she should be elated or disappointed. Hadley is going to London for her father’s wedding to a woman she has never met before. She ends up getting a flight for three hours later, which could just barely get her to the chapel in time for the wedding.

Hadley meets Oliver while waiting for her plane. Oliver is British and heading to London for an event of his own. They end up seated next to each other for the seven hour plane ride. By the time the flight is over, parting ways seems much harder than before.

*Review*

I listened to this as an audio book. This book was just not for me. It’s impractical in even a book universe kind of way. In my opinion, it’s just not good. I didn’t feel a connection to the any of the characters. There was no diversity in this. It’s very predictable at many points. I just didn’t enjoy it.

I had heard so many good things and great hype about it. Even though it didn’t seem like my usual kind of story I decided to give it a try, but it just isn’t my kind of book. I feel like the plot didn’t develop as well as it could of. I decided to finish it because it was an audio book and there was no harm in just listening, but the story didn’t grip me at all. Even while listening to the story, I was constantly trying to find something to do because the story just wasn’t that interesting to me.

I’m tired of these melodramatic, teen dramas where everything ends up tied up in a perfect bow in the end. I’m also tired of these main characters that blame everyone else for their problems. I couldn’t stand Hadley. I think the way she dealt with her issues were just terrible. The fact that she left her father’s wedding to try to find a boy she barely knows in a city she’s never been to before is ridiculous. What’s even more stupid is how everything works out just fine.

She finds the boy, there’s drama, and then she finds her way back to the hotel safe and sound. Oliver finds her in the end, because of course! I’m tired of this useless trope! And the title being his study was something I predicted from the very beginning. They drew that out for way too long.
