My 2020 Reading + Blogging Goals

Published by

Last year, I made four goals for the year to hold myself accountable when it came to both reading and blogging. It honestly helped a lot with committing to this blog and writing more, so here are my two reading goals and two blogging goals for 2020!

Reading Goals:

Read 25 books

I’ve been using this as my goal for the past few years and I think it’s a good number for me personally. I want to be realistic and between school and work, I just don’t want to stress myself out.

Buy One Book a Month

I really want to support my local bookstore, especially since it’s such a cute place. This would also give me an opportunity to take more bookish pictures if I want to start up the Bookstagram again.

Blogging Goals:

Post 2x a Week

I had this goal last year and I stayed fairly consistent until mid-October. I’m hoping to start doing more weekly posts like Top 5 Tuesday and Down the TBR Hole so I have something, even when I haven’t read a book or seen a movie that week.

Post Monthly Wrap-ups

I did this for a few months last year and I really did enjoy doing these wrap-ups. Making it a set goal will hopefully help me stay consistent and it will force me to take a look at the month. That way, I’ll see what worked and what didn’t.

What are your goals for 2020?

How did you do on your 2019 goals?

Do any of these goals resonate with you?

What do you have planned for this year?

Let me know in the comments below, let’s chat!

These are perfect goals! It’s amazing that you can take the time to read fun books with all of that reading for school. Sometimes the school-assigned books would put me in a slump.
I really loved doing monthly wrap-ups as well. It’s a great way to reflect and see the progress you didn’t even realize that you made. Happy reading!

Thank you so much for the feedback 😀 It is pretty difficult reading for pleasure with the school-assigned readings, but I’m going to try to listen to more audiobooks this year. I was in a bit of a slump at the end of the fall semester tbh

I love monthly wrap-ups too! You’re totally right on reflection, it helps me realize just how much I’m doing

Monthly Wrap Ups are always my favourite posts to write cause they always make me feel so accomplished 😂 25 books is a great manageable goal, I probably should have made mind similar to that but hey I clearly have a reading based death wish 😜

I loved doing the monthly wrap ups last year and this definitely help with accountability but that sense of accomplishment is a huge plus 😀 I wish you the best of luck on your reading challenge, hopefully I can pass 25 this year
