This week has been a great one for blogging. I had so much content to put out in the world and I followed through with it, this time around.
Life Update
I went to a thrift store a couple weeks ago to buy some books for my cousins. They’re home all summer and I don’t want their brains to rot. Last time I’d brought books, I forgot to get some for the little ones so this time around, they were my focus.
I ended up finding nearly all the Flat Stanley books for a dollar each (in perfect condition) and the first book of The Magic Treehouse series. Talk about childhood. I got a couple picture books for the two youngest and a Guardians of the Galaxy book for the boys since they’re going through their superhero phase.
I brought the books over to them yesterday and after they nearly knocked me over with running hugs, they all seemed pretty excited.
Blogging Life
I put out four original posts this week and it was so nice to get back into the swing of writing and actually putting it out there in the world. It’s been a much better week and I’m starting to feel more motivated again.
I’ll also be part of a blog tour! This is my first time ever being part of one and I am so so excited, especially since it’s a book I already had my eyes on.
This week’s posts:

My June Book of the Month post is up. I haven’t decided what I’m getting for July yet so if you have any suggestions, please comment them below.

I was a little late to the party on this one but at least I got it out before August. Make sure to check out my answers here.

WWW Wednesday’s aren’t something I do every week, especially since it often takes me over a week to finish books, but I had some new reads to add so check that out.

I will be part of the book tour for The Black Kids by Christina Hammonds Reed. This book tour is hosted by Hear Our Voices and I’m super excited to take part in it. Check out the full schedule for more details.

I finally posted a book review for the first time in forever. I even posted on my Bookstagram.
Booktubers to Check Out
I’ve been loving booktube so much lately. I love watching the videos while I work on my collages. I mentioned a few last week so here are five more that I love.
Tiana Tea is really fun. She has such great energy and I really enjoy watching her videos.
Kimberly Anne has such a good vibe and she seems to have some similar reading interests to me.
One of the booktubers I follow mentioned Nihdil and I love her videos. She has such great energy and if you can’t tell by now, I love great energy.
The Awkward Book Nerd is so sweet and she definitely deserves more subscribers. So far she’s at 1.5k so make sure to help her get up to 2k.
Life as Monae is so dope and her makeup skills are unmatched.
Book Bloggers to Check Out
The Reading Fairy is one of my favorite bloggers. She focuses on diverse and marginalized representation. She also nominated me for a book blogger award and that is so exciting. I’m planning to put out my own nominations this year so stay tuned for that.
Ally Writes Things is another one of my favorite blogs and I love Ally’s Twitter page. She recently posted Part 2 of her “Recommendations based on emojis” for her recommendations series. She is so incredibly creative and you should definitely check her out.
The Biblioshelf posted her Summer Reading Goals yesterday and I’m rooting for her. The books she’s chosen look really fun.
