Top 5 Tuesday ~ Top 5 Books Where Something Went Right

Hey y’all, Top 5 Tuesday is back!

Top 5 Tuesday was originally created by Shanah @ Bionic Book Worm. She has now passed the baton to Meeghan @ Meeghan Reads and I’m excited to see what the future holds for these posts. Meeghan’s page is super cute, so make sure you check it out!

This topic ended up being harder for me than I thought it’d be. I decided to go through my Goodreads to pick out some books and I think these ended up fitting the prompt pretty well.

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman

A Man Called Ove fits this prompt so well, in all honesty. If you’ve read this story, I’m sure you’ll agree. I truly loved Ove’s neighbors.

On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

On the Come Up was another great story. Even though things were tough for Bri, her rapping got recognized by a lot of people. That’s definitely something that went right.

Check, Please! by Ngozi Ukazu

Check, Please! by Ngozi Ukazu

Check, Please! is just so cute and a lot went right for Bitty. He really was living his best life for a lot of this.

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon

I have so much love for The Sun is Also a Star. The way everything kept bringing Daniel and Natasha together was so beautiful. It’s just an amazing story and the book is so much better than the movie.

In Real Life by Cory Doctorow & Jen Wang

In Real Life by Cory Doctorow & Jen Wang

I read In Real Life when I was first getting into graphic novels. It was a really fun read and the way things fell in place with Anda was really sweet.

That’s all from me this week. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s choices!

Did you post a Top 5 Tuesday? (Link it below)

Have you read any of these?

What are your favorite “went right” reads?

Great list. All of these sound good. I’m partial to Check Please since my husband and son were both players.

    Thanks for sharing.

That’s so cool! Hockey isn’t really big here (it’s too hot for snow in Florida) so this was my first time really learning about it 🙂

Almost all of these are on my TBR and I’m adding the fifth to it now! Looks super cute. Great list. It’s nice and hopeful (and a lot less stressful) when things do go right for the characters!
