Hey y’all! It feels like forever since I did one of these. I’ve actually been reading quite a bit since we last caught up. It’s been an interesting mix, to say the least.

What are you currently reading?
P. S. I Still Love You by Jenny Han

This was one of my library reads. I ended up DNFing The Startup Squad and I’m definitely not getting it for my cousins. It just doesn’t sit right with me that this story is written by two white people. It really feels like making Resa the main character was more of a marketing ploy, in my opinion.
I really wanted to read P. S. I Still Love You because I’ve heard that the book is better than the movie, but I still can’t stand Peter. I didn’t care much for the first book but this one is even more difficult for me to get through right now.
What did you recently finish reading?
Frankly in Love by David Yoon

This was honestly a mess. I’m still working on my review but I really had some issues with this one.
You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson

My library hold came through at the perfect time. I listened to the audiobook of You Should See Me in a Crown through the CloudLibrary app. I absolutely loved this story and I’m working on a full review for this one too.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Black Girls Must Die Exhausted by Jayne Allen

My July books came in last week and I can’t wait to get to them. Black Girls Must Die Exhausted is one of those books that just sounds amazing. I haven’t heard too many people talk about it but it is from a much smaller publisher.
Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

My library has the audiobook available and I really want to see what all the hype is about. I’m also in the mood for a romance. I’ve started to notice recently that if I’m reading multiple books at a time, I like to read them in different formats. I really love pairing a physical book with an audiobook, and sometimes throwing in a short ebook.
Well, that’s all from me. Now it’s your turn to answer these questions!
